Q. What are the benefits of being a GBBR member?

A. Here at GBBR we strive to provide a multitude of benefits to support your business. We hope to anticipate your needs and wants now and in the future. Currently, we offer at least 13 FREE benefits, check out our benefits page for the full list. Last year we deemed June Member Appreciation Month and will celebrate our 6th Annual Member Appreciation Week on June 25 - 29. This week is full of half-price and FREE CE courses, great prizes, food and games, charity, and professional development. Q. What is included in my dues invoice?

A. The dues invoice includes; GBBR (local), Maryland Realtors (state); NAR (national); RPAC Investment (optional); GBBRF Charitable donation (optional). GBBR did not raise our portion of the 2019 dues. NAR increased their dues by $30 for the 2019 year. Maryland Realtors increased their dues by $4 for the 2019 year. The GBBR Board of Directors voted to continue to absorb $11 of your Maryland Realtors dues. The due date for payment is July 31, 2018. A late fee of $50 will be assessed August 1, 2018 for non-payment, An additional reinstatement fee of $150 will be assessed October 1, 2018 for non-payment.

Q. My Dues are $734, how is this broken down?

A. You are a primary REALTOR member. The breakdown is as follows: GBBR (local) a- ry$la3n0d5 R; eMaltor (state) - $199 (after GBBR absorbed $11); NAR (national) - $185; RPAC Suggested Investment (optional)$25; GBBRF Suggested contribution (optional) $20.

Q. My dues are $175, how is this broken down?

A. You are a secondary REALTOR member with GBBR. If your primary association is out-of-state, and you are a member with MAR (state) or would like to join MAR, the MAR portion is optional. Click here for the list of MAR benefits. Click here for the list of MAR benefits.
The breakdown is as follows: GBBR (local) - $175.

 

Q. My dues are $395, how is this broken down?

A. You are the primary affiliate member in your company or office. Meaning that you may be the first person in your office that joined and/or are the designated point of contact for your office. If you are a members of MAR (state) or would like to join MAR, the MAR portion is optional.  Click here for their list benefits.
The breakdown is as follows: GBBR (local) - $350, RPAC suggested investment (optional) - $25, GBBRF Charitable contribution (optional) - $20.



 Q. My dues are $50, how is this broken down?

A. You are an additional affiliate member in your company or office. Meaning that someone in your office had already joined GBBR as a primary affiliate member. If you are a members of MAR (state) or would like to join MAR, the MAR portion is optional. Click here for their list benefits.

The breakdown is as follows: GBBR (local)- $50.

 

Q. What portion of my dues is tax deductible?

A. To comply with IRS disclosure requirements regarding the 2019 dues: the following amounts are not deductible: NAR (national) - $57.00; MAR (state) - $23.00; GBBR (local)- $5. The combined nondeductible total is $85.00. We recommend consulting your tax accountant prior to making the deductions.

 

Q. Do I have to donate to the Charitable Foundation and RPAC?

A. The GBBR Charitable Foundation and RPAC contributions are optional. Click this link for more information about the GBBR Charitable Foundation.

To comply with RPAC disclosure requirements regarding contributions: Contributions to RPAC are not deductible as charitable contributions for Federal Income Tax purposes. Contributions are not deductible for federal income tax purposes. Contributions to RPAC are voluntary and are used for
political purposes. You may refuse to contribute without affecting your membership rights. 70% of each contribution is used by Maryland RPAC to support state and local candidates. 30% is sent to National RPAC to support federal candidates and is charged against your limits under 2 U.S.C. 441a. This solicitation is intended for members of the Maryland Association of REALTORS® only. Nothing herein contained shall be construed as solicitation of contributions from nonmembers.

 

Q. I did not receive a paper statement.

A. As a courtesy to you, we are emailing electronic statements as soon as they are available. You should receive a paper statement within the next ten business days. If you do not receive a paper statement at your preferred address or your office contact Russ Davis, Director of Membership by email to verify, we have your correct contact information.

 

 Q. I did not receive an electronic copy of my statement?

A. As a courtesy to you, we are emailing electronic statements as soon as they are available. You should receive a paper statement within the next ten business days. If you do not receive a paper statement at your preferred address or your office check online that we have your correct contact information. In addition you can also acces your dues bill and pay online as well. Your login is your NRDS number and your password is GBBR.

Q. I did not receive an electronic copy of my statement?
A. You should have received an electronic statement to your preferred email address on file during the last few weeks of June.
Check your spam filter or 'junk' box for an email from Staff@GBBR.org. If the email was not in your spam mailbox check online
that we have your correct contact information. In addition you can also access your dues bill and pay online as well. Your
login is your NRDS number and your password is GBBR.

 Q. I paid my dues when I received the email, why did I get a paper statement?

A. They may have been some crossover between the generation of you online statement, you paying the dues, and the time we put your paper invoice in the mail.

Q. How can I pay my bill?

  • A. There several ways to pay your dues. Below is the information you will need for each of the payment methods:
    On-line - Click here, or visit www.gbbr.org/paydues.
  • You can also find a Pay Dues, green button, on our website, www.gbbr.org, and The GBBR Community, community.gbbr.org. Once you have logged-in click "Pay Open Orders" and follow the payment instructions. Please note: On-line payments are by credit card only. You will receive an electronic receipt to the email address on file with GBBR. This is the quickest and most efficient way to pay.
  • In Person - Stop by our office and submit a check or credit card payment to fulfill the bill.
  • By Mail - Use the return envelope you received with the paper statement. Or mail your check or credit card payment to GBBR, Attn: Membership Dept., 1954 Greenspring Drive, Suite 100, Timonium, MD 21093. Please note: You will receive an electronic receipt to the email address on file with GBBR as soon as your payment has processed.

Q. What is the annual membership cycle?

A. The membership cycle is from July 1 - June 30. All members will receive their dues invoice in June every year.
